Community Guidelines

IBI Motorcycles is a community built around a shared passion for custom motorcycles. These Community Guidelines outline the standards of behavior we expect from all members to keep the community positive, informative, and welcoming for enthusiasts and builders alike.

1. Our Community Values

Save time. Help members research efficiently and reduce repeated searching.
Reduce frustration. Be patient, helpful, and constructive.
Avoid unnecessary mistakes. Share knowledge that helps others make informed build decisions.
Build with better information. Contribute accurate, verified information whenever possible.

2. Respectful Communication

Treat all members with respect. Constructive disagreement is encouraged, but personal attacks, harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes behavior toward builders, owners, shops, and creators of all skill levels.

3. Build Submissions and Accuracy

When submitting builds or sharing build information, strive for accuracy. Clearly indicate when information is verified, likely, estimated, or unverified. Do not present unconfirmed information as fact. Submission does not automatically guarantee publication or featured status.

4. Builder Credit and Attribution

Always respect builder credit. If you know the builder of a motorcycle, share the information so proper attribution can be made. Do not claim another person's build as your own. IBI aims to credit verified builders, owners, photographers, and sources when their identities and permissions are available.

5. Location and Privacy

Members may optionally share general city, state, or regional location for member-map and meetup features. Never share or request private residential addresses or personal contact information of other members without their explicit consent. Members control the level of location information they share.

6. Prohibited Behavior

Spam, self-promotion, or unsolicited advertising.
Posting false or misleading information about builds, parts, or fitment.
Sharing private residential addresses or personal information.
Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory content.
Impersonating builders, owners, or other members.
Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others.
Attempting to disrupt, overload, or compromise the platform.

7. Verification and Misinformation

IBI clearly separates verified information from partially verified, likely, estimated, and unverified information. Community research and discussion are important parts of the IBI model, but suggested identifications remain labeled as unconfirmed until adequately verified. Do not use "Featured" or "Verified" unless the applicable criteria are met.

8. Enforcement and Moderation

IBI reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these guidelines. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination of community access. Moderation decisions are made at the discretion of IBI to protect the integrity of the community.

9. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it to laurino@ibimotorsports.com. Include relevant details so we can investigate promptly.

10. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as the platform grows. We will post changes on this page with an updated effective date. Continued participation in the community constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
